Joana Leunis is a professional Latin American dancer. Together with Michael Malitovsky, she is a former World Latin American Dance Champion and current International Latin American Dance Champion.<\/p>\n
At the age of 8, she was diagnosed with a blood disease similar to leukaemia, but recovered a year later. Joana speaks several languages: French, English, Dutch and German, and is learning Italian. Joan’s dance training includes ballet, tap, ballroom and Latin American dance. At the age of 18, Joanna won the World Amateur Latin American Dance Championship with Slavik Kryklyv. She later won the WDC World Professional Latin American Championships with Malitowski in 2008 and 2009. In 2012, Leunis and Malitowski became British champions.<\/p>\n
She now dances as a pair with Victor da Silva.<\/p>\n
